The International Institute for Peace (IIP) warmly invites you to join us for our upcoming Paths to Peace workshop,
Resilience in Times of War: How Communities in Ukraine Stay Resilient and Support Each Other
Date: Thursday, 12 November 2026
Time: 18:00 CET
Venue: Online
As part of the Erasmus+ Paths to Peace (P2P) project, Workshop 3: Peace Building Communities explores how young Ukrainians are strengthening community resilience, rebuilding trust, and supporting people and places affected by war. Through firsthand experiences and insights from Ukrainian changemakers, the session will highlight the importance of preserving identity, supporting displaced and returning families, and creating stronger, more resilient communities.
Featuring Danylo, who lived under Russian occupation before escaping in 2022, and Anastasiia Khaliuova, who works on rebuilding towns and supporting families returning from temporarily occupied territories and Russia, the workshop offers personal and practical perspectives on what it takes to sustain communities in times of war.
Paths to Peace aims to give young people aged 18–30 the tools, training, and opportunities to turn tourism into a tool for peacebuilding. Read more about our project here.

The workshop will be held in English.
