Am Mittwoch, den 27. März 2019, lud das Internationale Institut für den Frieden (IIF) zu einer Podiumsdiskussion mit dem Titel „Rücktritt vom Fortschritt: Warum der Rechtspopulismus den Feminismus bekämpft“ ein. Ulrike Lunacek, ehemalige Präsidentin des EU-Parlamentes, Judith Goetz von der Universität Wien, Hannes Swoboda, Präsident des Internationalen Instituts für Frieden sowie Schifteh Hashemi vom Frauenvolksbegehren waren anwesend. Die Diskussion wurde von Gina Butros moderiert.

On April the 4th 2019, the International Institute for Peace organized together with the Forschungsstelle für Eurasische Studie der Universität Wien (EURAS) a panel discussion on the issue of the current conflicts in the post-soviet space. The panel discussion was moderated by Angela Kane, the Vice-President of the IIP and former UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs and featured by the participation of Alexander Dubowy, Scientific Coordinator, Research Center for Eurasian Studies, University of Vienna and Scientific Director of the Institute for Security Policy (ISP); Alexander Iskandaryan, Director of the Caucasus Institute Yerevan and Sergey Markedonov, Leading Researcher for the Center for Euro-Atlantic Security and MGIMO Institute for International Studies.

Alterantive Horizons 2030: Visiting Prishtina, Skopje, and Belgrade
In the framework of a project about the youth in Western Balkans jointly organized by the International Institute for Peace, the Renner Institut and the Austrian Institut for International Politics we had a 3 days trip to Pristhina, Skopje and Belgrade. Some of our young participants from the Western Balkans traveled with us and underlined the connections that exist between young people in different countries of the region.
EU-Russia Dialogue. Vienna Process 2019 🎬
On February 4-5, 2019 the International Institute for Peace (IIP) co-organized together with the International Centre for Advanced and Comparative EU-Russia Research Vienna (ICEUR), Raiffeisen Bank International and the city of Vienna, the “Vienna process conference 2019”. This was a moment to celebrate the ten years activity of ICEUR and to work on ideas on how to strengthen the EU-Russia political and economic dialogue. The speakers highlighted the necessity of a frank dialogue about goals and principles on which a restored relationship should be established. The second day of the conference featured three panel discussions on economy and finance, civil society and the role of investigative media.

On October 10-14, 2018 the International Institute for Peace (IIP) in cooperation with the the Bruno Kreisky Forum, Directorate for Security Policy, Federal Ministry of Defense and Sports, the Institute for Global Studies, Rome-Brussels and the Al Sharq Forum, Istanbul hosted a series of events, public debates and workshops, on the topic “Resilience and escalation” in the MENA region.During the event we had the chance to address some question to the experts present.
