United Nations peacekeeping remains one of the most effective tools to respond to today’s challenges of global peace and security. At the same time, it faces increasingly difficult challenges, including attacks against peacekeepers, complex mandates, and uneven political support. In order to respond to these challenges, the Secretary-General launched the Action for Peacekeeping (A4P) initiative in 2018.
Special Representative of the Secretary General Elizabeth Spehar will be speaking about the challenges of UN peacekeeping and the opportunities that A4P initiative presents, including how this applies to the Cyprus context.
The Discussion will be held in English.
The IIP invites to snacks and drinks after the event!
